Longtime fans of "Grey's Anatomy" realize that the show has its own vernacular.
People shout "Really?" They fought with each other a lot. Close partners consider each other their "personal".
As for you, you should probably do some research on "va-jay-jay", as we won't be discussing that here.
However, perhaps the most famous and enduring piece of "Grey's Anatomy" jargon is the prefix "Mac", which inspired two of the show's most notable nicknames.
Dr. Derek Shepherd (Patrick Dempsey) and Dr. Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) - a top neurosurgeon and plastic specialist, in person - are two of many, many irrationally gorgeous specialists,
who grace the lobby of the Dim Sloan Commemoration Medical Clinic (formerly known as this). Seattle Elegance and also Seattle Effortlessness Kindness West).
Additionally, during their experience on the show, they acquire their own nicknames.
The show's second episode is dedicated "McDreamy" to Derek, while Dr. Meredith Dimm (Ellen Pompeo) names Eric "McSteamy" after he is punched (by Derek) and demands his face be sewn on.
These are the simplest forms of McDreamy and McSteamy history - especially in light of the fact that they are used throughout the show as both a compliment, an insult, and a joke.
